Throughout paramedic school I developed a strong interest in teaching EMT courses. My EMT instructor and program director agreed, and after graduating I was hired as a lab instructor for the EMT program. I’ve helped teach nearly 100 EMT students, joined a faculty development group, and conducted peer-to-peer observations with faculty members across multiple departments.
Paramedic (Student)
Starting in September 2019, I completed an 18-month paramedic program at Massasoit Community College, combining classroom lectures, clinical rotations, and a field internship. Paramedics deliver advanced life support, administer medications, and manage critical emergencies in the pre-hospital setting.
Emergency Medical Technician (Student)
In May 2019, I graduated from the EMT program at Massasoit Community College. This foundational training covers anatomy, physiology, cardiac care, and respiratory emergency response—laying the groundwork for advanced emergency medicine.

Instructor Trainer Educator (Volunteer)
In September 2021, I transitioned from my role as CARES Program Coordinator to become a volunteer Instructor Trainer Educator. ITEs travel nationwide to deliver week-long instructor trainer academies—the highest level of Red Cross instructor certification.
CARES Program Coordinator
In November 2020, I rejoined the Red Cross after a brief leave, serving as the liaison between hospitals and EMS agencies for the Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival (CARES). I provided agencies with the resources and support they needed to participate in CARES.

My Red Cross journey began at 17 as a lifeguard and instructor. After college, I taught First Aid, CPR, AED, BLS, and Bloodborne Pathogens across Eastern Massachusetts—traveling to deliver instructor certification courses.

In May 2015, I started as a lifeguard, then swim instructor, supervisor, and eventually instructor trainer. I continue training new staff, keeping my skills sharp and sharing knowledge.

Alpine Ski Patroller (Volunteer)
Starting in the 2022-2023 winter, I spent three seasons training with the Blue Hill Ski Patrol to become an alpine patroller with National Ski Patrol. At the end of the 2024-2025 season my best friend and I earned our red jackets and officially became patrollers.

COVID-19 Testing Site Manager & EMT
During fall 2020, I helped manage on-campus COVID-19 testing sites—a role that fully utilized my EMT license. Alongside the Vice Provost for Strategic Initiatives and health center physicians, we ran the university’s COVID-19 response.

Resident Advisor
From 2016 to 2018, I earned my BA in Psychology (with a focus on behavior analysis) and served as a teaching assistant and resident advisor. A Behavioral Pharmacology course sparked my passion for emergency medicine. During my second (and final) year at MCLA, I worked as a Resident Advisor in the college's townhouse complex.
